An historic seaport city in southeastern Virginia, Portsmouth is located on the world's largest and deepest natural harbor. It is home to one of the nation's oldest naval shipyards and the country's oldest and largest Naval Hospital.

The mission of the Olde Towne Civic League is to promote the interest, safety, community spirit and well-being of the Citizens of the Olde Towne Portsmouth Historic Residential District.

 

 

Meetings

When and Where

The Olde Towne Civic League meets the third Thusday of each month with the exceptions of July and December. The meetings start at 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall of Trinity Episcopal Church. The church is located on the southwest corner of High Street and Court Street in Downtown Portsmouth. The entrance to the Parish Hall is located on King Street.

Who can attend?

All interested persons are invited to join us.

Meeting Etiquette

Our meetings are presided over by the President. Although we strive for brief, cooperative, and calm meetings, it is well to keep the following in mind.

  • Anyone may attend our meetings, but preference in speaking order is given to Members.
  • Please wait until one person has finished their remarks before starting to speak. Wait for recognition from the Chair.
  • Please do not talk on your cell phone during the meeting.
  • No personal attacks or slander of those not present.
  • If you are early or can stay late, please help us clean up and put chairs away, etc. We are guests of the Church.
  • No recording or photography without the permission of the Chair.
