An historic seaport city in southeastern Virginia, Portsmouth is located on the world's largest and deepest natural harbor. It is home to one of the nation's oldest naval shipyards and the country's oldest and largest Naval Hospital.

The mission of the Olde Towne Civic League is to promote the interest, safety, community spirit and well-being of the Citizens of the Olde Towne Portsmouth Historic Residential District.

 

 

Membership

Membership in the Olde Towne Civic League is open to any person over the age of 18 residing within the Civic League boundaries as set forth in the Membership Directory.

Members who have moved from within the Civic League boundaries but still wish to remain active in the League may do so, but only Members residing within the boundaries may vote at the meetings or Chair a committee.

May and June are the Olde Towne Civic League (OTCL) membership drive months. Membership benefits include ten monthly meetings and newsletters a year, and a membership directory.

Your participation in OTCL activities is greatly appreciated. Annual dues are $10.00 for an individual member. We no longer offer Lifetime membership.

Goals of the Membership Committee:

  • Recruit new members, maintain a current membership list, and provide said list to the Executive Committee.

  • Produce and distribute the OTCL Membership Directory.

  • Initiate activities that encourage rapport among members and increase participation in League activities.
