Co-Chair of the 29th annual Ghostwalk Committee, Dottie Lindley, presents a check for $1,000 to Christie Peters, Executive Director of the Portsmouth Humane Society to kick off the Society's fund raising drive for their new shelter. The members of the Civic League's 2009 Ghostwalk Committee (L to R) are Kay Carl, co-Chair; Alan Gollihue; Christie Peters; Keith Byers; Dottie Lindley; Rebecca Larys (behind Dottie); Anne Panno and Jay Stecher. Each year, the Ghostwalk Committee donates a portion of the proceeds from the Fall Ghostwalk event to a worthy organization of their choice.

Officer Roberto Diaz Honored

Civic League President Fred Sanborn presents a commerative plaque to Portsmouth Police Officer Roberto Diaz. Officer Diaz was our Neighborhood Impact Officer for nearly three years, and the Civic League members voted to honor his service to our community with the plaque. Officer Diaz has transferred to another community, and we all wish him well. Civic League Member Rebecca Larys designed and created the piece honoring Robert's service.
